It takes a whole lot to be an intern here at Alpheus Media. You have to be enthusiastic, hard working, and eager to learn. This summer we've been fortunate to snag not one, but two awesome interns...Cristine Cardenas and Allison West.

In 2008, Alpheus and LIVESTRONG made their way around the world exploring the stigma associated with cancer. We met amazing people in Mexico, Japan, India, South Africa, and Italy and were honored to tell their stories in Stigma & Silence. I think it's safe to say that the experience affected all of us deeply. Click on the links for each country to revisit our journey.

Three years later, we're globetrotting with LIVESTRONG once again for a new global film about cancer. We'll be in Rwanda and Jordan where we'll shadow some remarkable programs extending the reach of cancer care to patients in remote areas of Africa and the Middle East. While we were filming in South Africa, a nice statuette was dropped off at our office for 'When I Rise'.

Battling jet-lag with ambien, coffee, and pure adrenaline, we started work on a new LIVESTRONG film in Cape Town, South Africa, about 24 hours after we left the Austin airport. [...]

Mat and Wilson are en route to South Africa for another fantastic LIVESTRONG project. After a short hop, skip, and jump across the Atlantic Ocean (read: 16 hour flight from Atlanta to Johannesburg), they land in Cape Town to film Voice of Cancer, a Patient Empowerment Forum. [...]
