Alpheus Media in Rwanda

Escaping the Texas heat, we travelled to Rwanda, Jordan, and Mexico to make a documentary and social media campaign for our friends at LIVESTRONG. Today, the first in a series of short character profiles was released online, focusing on 16 year-old Francine, from Rwinkwavu, Rwanda.  LIVESTRONG released the clip across their social media networks, which reach more than three million people. And Partners in Health, an amazing organization (who helped to save the lives of Francine and countless others) released the video to their huge online audience as well.   More will follow as the series continues through September. Watch Francine now.

A longer documentary, 'Delivering Hope',  will tell a bigger story, weaving together footage shot in Jordan, Rwanda, and Mexico - and will premiere in New York City on September 19th, at a screening coinciding with the United Nations Summit on non-communicable diseases. We just returned from Guadalajara- the third and final shoot-  and have all been so busy in post-production since we came off the road that blogging has been tough, but we plan to detail the behind the scenes soon.  In the meantime, here are a few productions stills from the Rwanda shoot.
