Wilson Waggoner is a documentary and commercial director of photography. While he's had the opportunity to travel the world documenting, among other things, the lives of 100's of cancer survivors, the Olympic Torch Relay, and the last two years of Lance Armstrong's cycling career, the experience that has made the biggest impact on him has been capturing the footage that makes up Last Best Hope. "To get the opportunity to spend a total of 4 weeks traveling through Belgium and France documenting this project was a once in a lifetime experience. Not many people get to see, to feel, to touch history. Standing where history unfolded--the field where Bill crashed, the prison where he suffered, the homes where he hid--changes your understanding of the story. I can only hope that viewers come away from the documentary with some of the same emotion that we witnessed while capturing the images. It was a transformative time for both the crew and the subjects."
